Two very successful SOLD OUT nights of Unleashed!
Can't believe it's all over. But for some of you, this is just the beginning! :)
Thank you to everyone for such a great quarter. Thank you to all the very hardworking choreographers for creating such beautiful, unique, innovative pieces of choreography! I've heard nothing but good things about the performances! Thank you to all the dancers for their continuous hard work and dedication. You made the show so special! Lastly, thank you to everyone who came out and supported Cal Poly dance. It was a pleasure performing for you and being able to share our gift and passion of performing with you.
It was truly a pleasure being your student director this quarter and you have all made this experience very rewarding for me. Thanks again everyone!
Love,
Krizia

Stage Make up Ideas

Choreographers are in charge of setting make-up, costume, hair looks.
But here are some suggestions, too.
I found these on YouTube from JAM and BASTAR cosmetics.
You don't have to follow these, but they could be helpful for those of you who have never done dance stage make up before:
Jazz
Ballet/lyrical/contemporary
Modern
Hip-hop
Depending on what your choreographer wants, normal "light" make-up won't cut it for the stage. Even if you think you have enough make-up, the lights will make your face look "washed out" or even "sickly-looking."
Tips for avoiding looking "washed out" with the lighting:
- Use mascara, or eyeliner to make your eyes "pop"
- Use lip color
- Use blush
You don't have to go overboard with a rainbow assortment of colors so you end up looking like a clown (unless Meghan & Anna want that...), but you want to look presentable. Look like yourself, but don't look like a bum.
